WE NEED TO CLEAR THE AIR…

Modular Myths Debunked

We Make You Look Good, and Feel Good About Your Home...

You want a company to understand your vision, and listen to your ideas… be it a small corner of your house, or a major renovation… with beautiful design that reflects your and your family’s style.  You’re also tired of trying to find trustworthy handymen, contractors and designers to piece together your dream.  Overall, you want a beautiful and safe home for your family to enjoy.  We can make you the hero by providing just that.

Myth #1: Modular homes are lesser quality than site-built homes

Sage Crafted Homes are built in climate-controlled facilities. As a result, the wood and building materials used to construct your home are kept safe from unpredictable weather elements, like rain, snow, and wind. Unlike an on-site built home, this stops wood from getting wet mid-construction, which reduces the opportunity for future mold and wood rot issues that can occur because of the construction process.

Myth #2: Modular homes are less sturdy than site-built homes

On the contrary… our homes are constructed with transportation and setting processes in mind. This means stronger materials and fasteners are attached to prepare for the setting process, and any future stressors your home may endure, including mother nature’s. For example, all exterior walls are built from 2×6 wood studs, instead of the standard 2×4 studs most custom builders use.

Myth #3: The modular and traditional on-site home building processes take around the same amount of time

Modular construction takes months less than traditional on-site built construction. The difference comes from overall process, and our ability to work smarter and more efficiently. Once permits and approvals are submitted, we begin site preparation and foundation work. Our craftsmen in the factory simultaneously construct your home. All that’s left after that is on-site finish work and for you to walk through the front door.

Myth #4: Modular home features are limited compared to site construction

We offer various levels of customization, the same as a traditional custom home. If you want every part of your home to align with your vision, we can do that. We have everything from floor covering options to vaulted ceilings, the most glamorous master bathroom details, state-of-the-art kitchens, fireplaces, custom cabinetry, windows, wall color, and anything else you can imagine.

Myth #5: Modular homes are only one story

Sage Crafted offers homes to accommodate any style of living and budget. We build two- and three-story homes to fit your needs. Just imagine your neighbors reaction when your large home is crane lifted and installed in just one or two days!

Myth #6: Modular homes aren’t as efficient as site-built homes

In our Sage Crafted Homes factory, you have more options for insulation and air infiltration reduction compared to the on-site home building process. Because walls are built as freestanding elements, our craftsmen have a 360-degree visual around the wall to apply gaskets around outlets, add foam and sealant where the floor meets the wall and where walls join together. Overall, your home will have a greater R-value than most traditionally-built homes.

Myth #7: The modular home building process means I get limited builder support

Sage Crafted Homes is a turnkey builder, so we are with you until move-in day. We are by your side through every step of the process, including each step from design to final touches. When you’re handed the key to walk through your front door, it’s move-in ready.
